About the Opportunity

An exceptional opportunity awaits an experienced Consultant Plastic Surgeon to join a leading surgical network in the Melbourne region, offering a unique mix of public hospital work combined with high-demand private practice.

This role is suited to surgeons seeking both clinical variety and high earning potential, supported by a collaborative, well-established team. With a strong referral base, modern theatres, and advanced reconstructive & aesthetic capabilities, surgeons can rapidly build a full caseload while enjoying one of Australia’s most liveable cities.

🔍 Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a broad range of reconstructive and aesthetic surgical procedures

• Participate in elective, trauma, and complex reconstructive surgery

• Provide inpatient and outpatient care across both public and private settings

• Supervise, mentor, and support junior medical staff and trainees

• Engage in clinical governance, CME activities, and service development

• Contribute to research or academic activity if desired

✅ Candidate Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent)

• Specialist qualification in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
  (e.g. FRCS(Plast), American Board, Royal College of Canada, European Board, FRACS-equivalent, or South African specialist registration)

• Eligible for AHPRA Specialist Registration

• Strong communication skills and commitment to patient-centred care

• Experience across both reconstructive and cosmetic surgery preferred
